Like most avid chefs, I began cooking as a child. I liked experimenting and tasting my own creations.

In 1976, I took a job as a dishwasher at Sabatini's, a popular restaurant on-the-strip in Niles, OH. This was my first opportunity to learn how a professional kitchen operates.

Soon I moved up to line cook and learned all the stations in the kitchen that combine their efforts to get your meal to the table. I was fortunate to work for two dedicated and talented professional chefs who encouraged my desire to learn.

Since then I've trained with more than 100 different chefs, attended Culinary Catering and Commercial Baking School, and scores of workshops.

More recently I've had the interesting experiences of cooking for movie and television stars, recording artists, authors, art galleries and museums, resorts, professional athletes and political figures.
